I warmly welcome every student to my class who enjoys the beautiful sounds of the flute.
 

Flute playing is like writing poetry from our hearts: we use air as the ink, with fingerings and corresponding techniques driven by our feelings and emotions, then we play melodies with various colourful tones and shapes to tell different stories.

Flute is such a beautiful instrument, it is a way to sing from our hearts.

= About the lessons=

Throughout my musical journey, I realize the importance of the alignment of body, mind and spirit.

Therefore in my classes, I try to always guide students to bring the awareness back into their bodies and at the same time to listen to their surroundings, to be in the now.

I create an interactive, safe, fun and friendly learning environment while still being attentive and informative to cater every student’s needs and progress.

In my lessons, I work with students on the breathing technique, flute techniques and musicality. We will work on some pieces as well according to the interests, progress and needs of the student.

I can also help students to prepare for flute exams (such as ABRSM and Trinity exams) and all kinds of performances.

Group lessons are also possible upon discussion.

= Teaching experience =

Since 2010, I have been giving flute lessons at all levels to all ages from young children to elderly in Hong Kong and the Netherlands, including private lessons and group classes in various schools.
